With proper care, a computer can run smoothly for a long time, without needing to reinstall the operating system. As the system writes and rewrites data on the hard drive, the files' structure will be fragmented, the Windows Registry will be clogged up with invalid keys and so on. There are many ways to keep your system in prime condition and you can do it automatically with PC Booster. It will clean up the registry and the hard drive, erase your Internet activity and perform various tweaks to your system so it will run better.

The utility will not take up too much disk space and it will not use too many resources. After downloading the 2.5 Mb package, you can install PC Booster swiftly, like any other lightweight program.

Navigating from one function to another is easy. They can be found under different tabs on the interface and they involve clicking on check boxes or regular buttons. Tuning up the computer is a three step process, which can be initiated under the PC Tuner tab. First, you have to select one or more processes which are listed on the interface. The software can fix registry errors, erase temporary files and other non-critical data, erase your Internet activity and optimize your system settings for better performance.

After selecting one or more processes, PC Booster will start scanning. It will look for errors related to the tasks you have selected. When the scanning is complete, the results can be found in a list, along with their total numbers and the level of damage they can do. The third step of the tuning process involves selecting what errors you want to fix and clicking the Repair Now Button, in the window's lower right corner.

A general view of your computer's status can be found under the Overview tab. You will find information regarding your last tune up or if you need to perform a new one. You will also find three gauges which will display the computer's overall health.

A startup manager and a program uninstaller can be found under the Tools tabs. Unlike the standard uninstaller which comes with Windows, this one lets you select multiple programs and remove them in one run, without leaving any temporary files or registry keys behind. The Tools tab also contains a file shredder and shortcuts for various Windows tools, like the Security Center, Control Panel, Device Manager and more.
